MINT (M)                             Perfect, No scuffs or scratches, writing, tears or splits.

NEAR MINT (NM)              A record otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect

                                                the play or appearance. 

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)  Sometimes referred to as “Excellent”, a record that has been handled and played either

                                                infrequently or very carefully… not perfect but not too far from it.  May be light paper

                                                scuffs, vinyl may have lost some not all of its luster.  Light scratch that does not affect the

                                                play. 

VERY GOOD (VG)               Used but not abused.  Displays visible signs of handling and playing such as loss of vinyl

                                                luster, surface scratches, groove wear. 

GOOD (G)                             Record is well played with a number of defects such as complete loss of surface sheen,

                                                labels stuck on labels.

POOR (P)                               Any record or cover that does not qualify for a GOOD (G) rating.
