Mega Rare, early 1970’s American Psychedelic album classic from BOB SMITH. From the Los Angeles area, this mixes sprawling guitar, violin & some keyboard-weirdness with a patch of vague Buckley/Beefheart/Fankhauser reference points on to a base of melodic psych-rock extensions, with a lyrical vantage point not far from the heightened visionary nonsense of a Damon-like character. The Visit was recorded in 1970 in LA, and it redefined the existing borders of the psychedelic movement. From the first thought about this album to its release, it took 3 years to put all ideas into a musical concept -- the result: obscure and complex songs with mindblowing instrumentation and depth. This double LP has a deluxe gatefold cover and will make a beautiful addition to a psychedelic, garage, or rare Rock ‘N Roll album collection.
The gatefold cover is made of thick, heavy cardboard and has a small drill hole in the bottom right corner. It has minor surface wear, ring wear and a 4 inch top seam split, yet is still very visually appealing and looks the part of a psychedelic, hippy, trippy album. Both records have minor surface wear and scuffs but nothing deep and they still retain some of their original gloss and luster.
All records are shipped in a sturdy professional cardboard mailer with cardboard insert. We do not charge a handling fee.
