In 1966 There Was
This is most likely the first ever release of the Manchester/London tape. Although the cover stamp simply says "Live in Concert", The LP label says "Royal Albert Hall". The tape from the CBS acetate had been in the hands of only a few privileged individuals for the previous four years. Now it was being given to the fans. The somewhat mistaken label would forever brand all of the tracks of this incredible recording as "The Royal Albert Hall".

According to the cover stamp (and our research) this very rare 1970 English release by an unknown label is the first ever issue of what would be an endless number of releases and re-releases of the famous recording that would forever be known as 'The Royal Albert Hall'. In fact, it was taken from an unreleased CBS acetate of an intended live Bob Dylan LP that never saw the light of day. The tracks were from London May 26, 1966 and Manchester May 17, 1966. This LP was also issued in the GWW wrap-around cover. There is also some confusion about an entirely different LP that appeared in this cover. You can find it listed as
Bob Dylan and the Band Live

Title: IN 1966 THERE WAS DYLAN.
Record Label/Company: UNKNOWN ENGLISH BOOTLEG, I DO HAVE SOME DOUBLE 7" 33rpm SINGLES IN THE SAME TYPESET, I FEEL THEY ARE THE SAME MAKERS, I THINK FROM MEMORY ONE IS CALLED STEALIN'..
Catalogue Number: AH-LP-3 A/B.
Description Of Item For Sale:
Supposed to be the first ever release of the Albert Hall concert, which was actually not the Case, but London and Manchester, as detailed in the notes from Bobs Boots above, which you should read to see what a historical Milestone this release actually is.It gets slightly boring at times to hear so many different people churning out this stuff, but to think they all got it from this release is very special, a very rare LP, primitive in design, but the start of a phenomena.
Vinyl: Very Good. There are many light surface marks, but the sound quality is astounding, I think a testament to the use of a high quality thick Vinyl, there are no sticks or pops, I don't have time to listen to all my records, but I have just enjoyed this one with not a single complaint sound-wise. The labels are lovely and clean with good clear print.
Sleeve: Excellent. No creases, no scribbles, the word DYLAN, hand written, done very nicely, a good crisp stamp, yes some ring wear, and a little grubby, but it's not split, it is 44 years old and as rare as hens teeth.
Extra Items: NONE.
COMBINED POSTAGE. I always try and reduce postage costs for multiple items, if you intend to buy more than one LP from me, please DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING until you have finished bidding on all items. I have limited time at night, I aim to get things shipped next morning, it makes hard work when I have to start issueing refunds for postage, seeking email addresses to use Paypal, repacking, weighing, wasting tape, and spoiling mailers. I can't send more than 2 kilos in one go outside of U.K. as a guide, 4 LP's is around the limit to combine.Let me know when you finish buying more than one record and want them packed, I will pack, weigh, then invoice you.Box sets can't always be combined with other records dependant on the packing I need to use, I will always offer the best deal I find possible.
CONDITION:
All Items are Graded As In The Record Collector 2006 Price Guide,in Brief these grades are as follows:
Mint-Unplayed,sealed or as good as an unplayed undamaged item,.
Excellent-Some signs the record has been played, very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good-Been Played many times,no major deterioration in sound, despite noticeable surface marks, occational light scratch.Normal wear & tear on the cover or extra items, without major defect is acceptable.
Good-Played so much,used so much,sounds bad,many problems such as splits,stains etc.
Fair-Just Playable-not nice.
TRACKS ARE: Probably available on Google. Also if I have made scans of labels or sleeve, click to supersize, and read them that way.

POSTAGE & PACKING:
I don't use Postage to make money.I try and weigh the parcels before I list the items and add packing cost to the postage cost.Sometimes I can't weigh 1st(Usually if I have to make a home-made parcel for odd sized items)and if I do that,I will make my best educated guess of the postage cost, but I don't often pack home made parcels before the bidding ends, because many people want to ask questions,so sometimes,I could be a little out.I do pack in secure parcels.
Ways To Pay:
Cheque,Postal Order,Cash On Collection.Postage cost will not be needed for collection, package will be charged for only if you need it,which you should not need if you collect yourself.Paypal is available as I have to offer it,although I personally would rather avoid it,I have to allow it.I despatch very quickly so don't worry, you'll soon get your goods if you are quick to pay.
Europe & Worldwide:
PAYPAL.Sorry I am not allowed to offer International Money orders any more,I like them, but Ebay don't.
FEEDBACK:
Although you are not obliged to leave feedback,I hope you do.If you get a record and are happy, please leave feedback so I know it has arrived, and that you are happy, then I can leave yours and erase the sale from my Email and Ebay page.If you are not happy, please ask for a refund. Many buyers don't leave feedback and it annoys me,so,If after a long time I get no feedback,I will leave your positive feedback assuming that you payed, then I will add you to my blocked bidder list.Harsh maybe, but Feedback is how Ebay works,I see no need to be so lazy,it is only good manners.
U.K: I prefere a Cheque or Postal order,or Cash on collection.Paypal is available, but I don't like it,although I have to offer it,and I won't hold it against you if you do use it. Rest Of World: Paypal. If you have any other suggestions,I am open hearing them BEFORE you bid.
