From August of 1966 comes this ultra rare Columbia August Mobile display. It was issued for record stores ONLY, as a promotional tool. It is made up of many pieces made of heavy cardboard. There is a large stylized arrow, reading "This way" and a hanging traffic light reading"Go go go" in green and "Columbia Records"in red with the "eye" logo! It was issued with a large heavy cardboard promo display of the Blonde On Blonde album and reads upper right,"Bob Dylan's new album, deluxe two record set featuring Rainy Day Women 12 & 35 and I Want You". There is a self-adhesive strip on the top back of this piece and lower back of it. It was never used, though the backing at the lower edge rear has come off. This mobile was to be hung with string from the ceiling for people going to look at the album which was to be featured in the store under the arrow! Also comes with the original envelope for Columbia's versatile Kleen stick covers, which was included in this display. They were album slick size with adhesive strips top and bottom of rear. They include The Byrds' Fifth Dimension, Dave Brubeck-Time In, The Spellbinders,Patti Paige's Greatest Hits,Percy Faith-Bim Bam Boom and three Andy Williams covers. The envelope advertises "easy and simple to use!Put them up anywhere!Perfect for window, wall, browser box or cash register! Use them over old displays! Make your own composite displays! You'll find new applications every time you use them!" Also includes the original hard cardboard mailer that is quite large (38.5" long by 19.5" high by 1" thick). It reads "August Mobile Display" and has loads of Columbia tape including tape reading,"Columbia long playing microgroove records", "Your promotional material-Columbia Records".(Last three pictures). Also comes with some of its original packing paper.

Measurements: The arrow is 35.5" across on the angle, the traffic light measures  15.5" high and 10.5" wide, the clean stick covers envelope and slicks are slick size, the Bob Dylan Blonde On Blonde cover is 12.5" wide and 25" high.

Also comes with the original string to hang this up with.

The mobile will be mailed in its original mailer and it will be clear taped, so the Columbia tape and promo material will not be obscured.
