Please note: This is a brand new account because I have been commissioned to sell a large collection of records that once belonged a DJ in Santa Barbara, CA (more about him below) and the collection belongs to DodgerBob. WOW!! For sale is a white label promo copy of Bob Dylan & The Band’s legendary Basement Tapes...complete with hype sticker AND DJ timing strip in immaculate condition!! The hype sticker and the DJ timing strip both appearing on the same copy is rarer in my experience...usually when one is found, the other is not. This copy is in all around STUNNING condition and appears unplayed and has been very safely stored for 45 years! This is absolutely an ARCHIVE/TOP COPY/FINAL UPGRADE. See below for details.

Sleeve: NM-

STUNNING crisp gatefold sleeve...sharp corners (upper right hand has promo clip) and sharp opening edges...only the faintest wear evident. Complete with DJ timing strip AND hype sticker!! The stickers are in also in excellent condition with no writing and very little signs of wear. Most timing strips I’ve seen from this copy have significant discoloration and wear. This one is very clean. The only real thing of note is “From the collection of Bob Senn” has been lightly stamped on the rear.

Discs: NM

GORGEOUS discs both retain all their original glossy sheen. Only the faintest, wispy sleeve removal traces barely visible when tilted under bright light. They appear to be unplayed.

Labels: NM

PERFECT white promotional labels have no spindle traces or evidence of play. No unwanted writing or marks.

Original generic white inner sleeves are included and unsplit, also having the promotional corner clip.

This copy is from the collection of Bob Senn - a renowned Santa Barbara, California DJ and program director for KTMS FM “The Rock on the Coast”. When Mr. Senn passed, his collection was acquired by my friend who has commissioned me to help sell them. There are thousands of records in the collection, almost all promotional copies in mint or close to mint condition.

Grading System:

SS (Still Sealed)

Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
