Up for bids is a very rare original mono Self-Titled Folk LP by Bob Dylan. Columbia Records. CL 1779. 1962.
VERY RARE 1ST PRESSING WITH "6-EYE" COLUMBIA RECORD LABELS!!!
RARELY SEEN!!!
1962 was the last year of this label variation.
Back of cover, bottom-right corner, has a pressing plant number "8" printed.
Matrix (or Trail-Off) numbers read a stamped "XLP-55619-1C" for Side 1, and a stamped "XLP-55620-1D" for Side 2.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG Minus condition. Front and back have wear. Back of cover has some minor staining. Top corner at opening has a 1 1/2" split. Bottom's center has a 2 3/4" split and the bottom's corner at opening has a 1 3/8" split.
I would rate the record’s condition as VG Minus to VG. Labels have some wear. Record has some marks and scratches. Some scratches are deep but do not skip on my player! There is some distortion at times but record still sounds really nice with plenty of fidelity left!
