~ SUPER-RARE ORIGINAL 1962 STEREO PRESSING ON THE BLACK AND RED COLUMBIA "6-EYE" LABEL. MATRIX: XSM 55621 1E / XSM 55622 1F. INCREDIBLE COVER: NO RING-WEAR. SUPER GLOSS. SHINY, INTACT SPINE AND TOP EDGE. SMALL CHIP TO BOTTOM EDGE CENTER, AND A SMALL SCUFF/DING AT BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. LIGHT WEAR TO THE OTHER THREE CORNERS. ORIGINAL 1962 COLUMBIA INNER IN SUPER SHAPE, WITH A ONE-INCH SPLIT BOTTOM CENTER AND A 1/2 INCH SPLIT TOP RIGHT CORNER.

THE RECORD HAS A GOOD DEAL OF LIGHT SCUFF. THERE IS NOTHING I CAN FEEL WITH A FINGERNAIL THOUGH. DESPITE THIS, THE DISC HAS RETAINED A FAIR GLOSS. I LISTENED TO BOTH SIDES IN THEIR ENTIRETY, AND THERE WAS SOME LIGHT SURFACE NOISE BUT RELATIVELY FEW REAL POPS OR ANYTHING. NOTHING EVEN CLOSE TO A SKIP. SIDE 1 IS A BIT QUIETER THAN SIDE 2, BUT OVERALL IT WAS A NICE LISTEN, AND AT NO TIME DID THE SURFACE NOISE OVERTAKE OR DOMINATE THE LISTEN. (THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT AN AUDIOPHILE COPY, BUT IT WAS A SOLID LISTEN.) I'LL CALL IT "VG-" VISUALLY, AND A VG LISTEN.    ~~

 MINT / STONE MINT: (M): Absolutely perfect in every way - certainly never played.

NEAR MINT:  (NM): A nearly perfect record. No obvious sign of wear. most sellers call this Mint or Mint-. Looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. Faintest, tiniest wisp of a hint of a suggestion of whiff of a sleeve mark allowable.

EXCELLENT: (EX): A superior  record with no more than a wisp of a hairline, faint shadowing, or a superficial needle drag. None of these defects are glaring, and certainly do not affect play.  I use this grade for sweet  records that don't quite qualify for a true NM, but are clearly superior records not accurately described by VG+.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): Played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have light scuffs or very light scratches that might slightly affect, but do not overpower, one’s listening experience. Very slight warps that do not affect play are OK. (This is about as low as I bother with, unless it’s a very hard to find original pressing.)

VERY GOOD (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+ record are more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise is evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

GOOD (G): Good does not mean unplayable! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear

** I grade accurately and honestly according to Goldmine standards.  A NEAR MINT grading from me means a virtually flawless record, with only a supremely superficial sleeve shadow or a wisp of a sleeve scuff. A VERY GOOD or VERY GOOD + means a solid, playable record with MINIMAL, LIGHT wear.  (It does not mean "trashed!") I will occasionally refer to something as "STONE MINT" OR NM/M to indicate that the record has likely NEVER been played and has no Factory defects.

 PACKAGING: I ship quickly and pack professionally in custom cardboard record mailers with small-bubble wrap and cardboard reinforcement. Each record is sealed inside a 1 ml plastic sleeve.
