On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Bob Dylan called "Highway 61 Revisited" and is an ORIGINAL 1965 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' CBS label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF BOB DYLAN'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1965 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (LIKE THIS!), AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CHANGED!!!! AS A RESULT, IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS QUITE LITERALLY, THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE (ALL LATER ONES ARE VERY DIFFERENT!)!!!! AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! I WILL NOW EXPLAIN THE ALL IMPORTANT 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DETAILS BELOW:-
FIRSTLY THIS LP HAS 'FULLY TEXTURED' LABELS WITH '33' LABEL TEXT (LATER ONES DONT!), 'A//1' 'B//1' SMALL TEXT MATRIX ENDINGS (LATER ONES DONT!), AND A MUCH 'THICKER' CBS BLOCK LOGO ON THE LABELS (LATER ONES ARE THINNER!)!!!! SECONDLY THE LABELS HAVE A VERY DISTINCTIVE 'SMALL GROOVE' AROUND THE CENTRE HOLES - WHICH DOES NOT EXTEND OUTSIDE THE CENTRAL BOX (LATER ONES DO - THEY HAVE CENTRAL GROOVES THAT EXTEND OUTSIDE THE BOX!)!!!! THIRDLY THE COVER IS EXTREMELY THICK IN CONSTRUCTION (LATER ONES ARE THINNER!), MADE BY 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' (LATER ONES ARENT!), AND HAS 'PATENTS PENDING' TEXT (LATER ONES DONT!)!!!! AND LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE LABELS HAVE THE '62575' MISPRINTED ABOVE THE DATE ON THE LOWER RIGHT SIDE OF EITHER LABEL (OF COURSE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN '62572' INSTEAD!)!!!! AND THIS IS TREMENDOUSLY IMPORTANT!!!! BECAUSE ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - WERE EVER MADE WITH THIS ULTRA RARE '67575' LABEL MISPRINT - BEFORE IT WAS IMMEDIATELY CHANGED ON ALL LATER COPIES!!!! SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP, THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st Pressing from 1965 and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is BPG 62572 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press CBS label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear (apart from a TINY touch around 1 centre hole - which is clearly from a thick spindle and NOT from overplay!), NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is probably the HARDEST piece of vinyl I have EVER had to describe!!!! It plays AMAZINGLY with pin sharp souund quality and the record is PERFECTLY bright & shiny looking with ALL of its ORIGINAL 'Factory Shine'!!!! However on the VERY few times this LP was handled (it has clearly only been played 3 or 4 times EVER - so it wasnt handled much!) clearly the 1 previous owner was a little careless - as there are a few light fingernail scufflines on either side. Now I MUST STRESS that NONE of these affect play and these are completely NON sounding!!!! So how to grade a record with AMAZING sound quality, an AWESOME shine, and a few careless lines that DO NOT SOUND???? Well I dont know..... But to be mega MEGA strict - I will simply grade the record visually very VERY strictly Good+ (PROPERLY graded NOT trashed!) if not better - though I would suggest 99% of people would grade higher still, and feel I am being overly strict here. That said, I would rather avoid any chance of disappointment - which is why I am being so very VERY strict here!!!! The playing grade is more like Excellent+ - and this record plays SUPERBLY!!!! And the rarity of this record simply CANNOT be overstated - being the EARLIEST POSSIBLE, with MISPRINTED LABELS, AND DIFFERENT MATRIXES!!!! ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES WERE EVER MADE LIKE THIS - AND IT IS UNDOUBTEDLY ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST UK BOB DYLAN LPs EVER RELEASED, AS AN 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING!!!! SO THE CHANCES OF EVER FIND ANOTHER ONE AGAIN IS VIRTUALLY ZERO!!!!
The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The ORIGINAL 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' MONO Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, NO splits, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO rips, NO tears, VERY shiny laminate, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, only 1 TINY 'age spot', NO rubbing, VERY nice flipbacks indeed, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! BRILLIANT COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH MISPRINTED LABELS & DIFFERENT MATRIXES!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
