Comments: Extremely SCARCE LP to locate in MONO format with a pristine cover.
CONDITION ( Please refer to Grading Standards below)
COVER: NrMT to NrMT+
Comments: Super clean glossy “pastedown” cover displays bright, vivid colors with the “original” shrink wrap fully intact! There is virtually No ring wear beneath the shrink, No marks or writing, No creases, No seam splits, and No cut out marks, discount holes or bar codes. Ever so slight corner wear on the opening side and a small piece of vintage scotch tape applied to reinforce the shrink by the original owner in the lower right corner and the upper left side of the back cover. The tape is not applied directly to the cover, except for a very tiny piece in the lower right corner (see photographs) which is the only minor flaw and mentioned for accuracy. This is one of the cleanest MONO covers for this particular release that you can ever expect to locate, especially with the super rare sticker promoting one of the greatest songs ever - not only on this album, but of “all time” according to Rolling Stone Magazine - a condition rarity!!
VINYL: Very Strong VG+ to VG++
Comments: “Thick” vinyl Mono LP retains much of its original gloss with some insignificant faint hairlines and just a few light needle trails (No scratches) seen under bright light, which do not affect play. The album has been play tested and plays very nicely throughout the entire recording with just a few ticks mainly between tracks, but definitely No skips. Please do Not bid on this album if you are expecting a NrMT flawless vinyl LP, because if it were, I would have put the opening bid much, much higher! With that said, the vinyl is honestly graded, but the real strength of this listing is the NrMT or better cover with the exceedingly RARE "Like A Rolling Stone" affixed to the "original" shrink wrap!!
INNER SLEEVE: Original and correct mid-sixties COLUMBIA inner sleeve advertising other selections from their catalog used during the time period of this release. The inner sleeve is in superb NrMT+ condition with No creases or seam splits, which is amazing for a nearly 50 year-old sleeve to this classic album.
Comments: “First” pressing MONO copies of this Bob Dylan release are extremely difficult to locate with a super clean cover still in the original shrink wrap! LP features many classic early Bob Dylan songs including “Ballad Of A Thin Man”, “Queen Jane Approximately”, “Highway 61 Revisited”, “Desolation Row”, and of course without a doubt his greatest hit ever “Like A Rolling Stone”!!
I have listed many more pristine First and second pressing Bob Dylan albums from the “sixties” this week, so please check out my other auctions!
