Label Condition:NM Guaranteed High Fidelity in black. Cover Condition: EX/VG+ Hype sticker is discolored, Corners slightly bumped. No seamsplits. Name on back. Original baggie/shrink from Record Rack List Price $3.99 Our Price $3.49 in VG Original blue and gray innersleeve in VG+ Record Condition: NM-/EX Brilliant sound quality throughout. Looks glossy and fresh. Under bright light a couple of thin hairlines and very faint paper scuffs. .
Notes: This first press Freewheelin' Bob Dylan is distinquished by its condition and rarity. It has guaranteed high fidelity in black on the label and the first press hype sticker. It comes with the original Record Rack baggie. This Record Rack was probably Conley's Record Rack in Alamitos, California and a famous spot in the Fifties and Sixties that had live rock and roll broadcasts from their store. Even more amazing is that this copy of Freewheelin was one of the last records pressed at Columbia's Hollywood plant that closed in late 1963. Discogs only mentions the Pitman pressings and to our knowledge no other Hollywood pressing has known to have sold on Ebay or Discogs. A collector friend has estimated that the ratio of Pitman to Hollywood pressings is at least 500 to one.
