Notes

Track A3: The sleeve notes comment that Dylan does not recall where he first heard it. No credit.
Track A7: The vague notes suggest this was re-written with inspiration from the Everly Brothers. No credit.
Vinyl label has titles conflicting with those on sleeve:
A5 reads Fixin' To Die Blues
A7 reads Highway 51 Blues

The earliest UK copies were pressed by Philips on behalf of CBS (CBS did not have their own UK pressing plant until late 1964).

These Philips pressed originals can be identified as follows:
- the catalogue number is shown below CBS logo on top-left of front cover
- " BPG 62022" text to the left of CBS logo in top-right corner of rear sleeve
- "CBS is a trademark..." text on bottom-left corner of rear sleeve.
- matrix numbers on label shown as “BPG 6022 1L” / “BPG 6022 2L”
- flipback sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.
