·       This is a rare original US mono pressing of Bob Dylan, “Blonde On Blonde”, on Columbia, C2L-41, released in 1966.
 

·       Original gatefold record jacket with Claudia Cardinale photo on the inside – later replaced by a photo of Dylan on all subsequent pressings.

·       Original “2-eye” 360 sound Mono red and white label.

·       This is the original, authentic, first U.S. pressing – this is not a reissue, import, or counterfeit pressing.

·       Original thick cardboard cover (American style).

·       Beautiful, wear-free labels.

·      Though recently re-issued in it's original mono mix by Sundazed, this rare original mono first pressing remains by far the best audio representation ever of this Dylan classic.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  I am a careful, conservative grader.  All my records are graded visually under strong diffuse light, and I play at least a portion of each record to verify the visual grade.  Any known playback issues are clearly identified in the description.

I grade both records as NEAR MINT.  A very few light and superficial scratches/abrasions – probably sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but do not detract from the visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.  It has clearly been very well cared for, and like many classic mono recordings of the period features clear, vivid and punchy sound – far preferable in fact to its stereo counterpart.  You would be hard pressed to find an original copy of this classic album in better condition!

Cover:

I grade the cover as EXCELLENT - bordering on NEAR MINT, with vibrant colors and NO seam splits. The inner gatefold portion is practically flawless.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

·        Very light ringwear (nothing significant); on the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ringwear as 1-2.

·        Minor wear noted on the seams (nothing significant).

·       A few very minor creases and a few very light scratches (nothing significant), and one or two very slight indentations around the opening.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER!

-   No split seams

-   No cut-out (drill) holes.

-   No cut-out corners

-   No saw-marks or indents

-   No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-   No yellowing from aging

-   No mold or mildew spots

-   No stickers or labels

-   No water damage

-   No warping

-   No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover
