DESCRIPTION
ARTIST: BOB DYLAN
TITLE: “ANOTHER SIDE OF BOB DYLAN”
PRESSING: 1964 Original “FIRST” Pressing STEREO LP
CATALOG #: COLUMBIA CS 8993
LABELS: Very clean “Red” labels with “COLUMBIA” in white along top. “360 SOUND STEREO 360 SOUND” in Black along bottom with “Arrows”.
Comments: Extremely Scarce First Pressing Stereo LP to locate with a Pristine cover.
CONDITION ( Please refer to Grading Standards below)
COVER: Very Strong NrMT- or better
Comments: Extremely clean glossy “pastedown” cover displays sharp, vivid black and white colors with the “original” shrink wrap fully intact! There is ever so slight, barely noticeable ring wear beneath the shrink near the very top and bottom of the cover (see photograph). No marks or writing, No seam splits, No creasing, and No cut out marks, discount holes or bar codes. Lightly bumped left corners (see photograph) and slight wear to the right corners are the only minor flaws and mentioned for accuracy. This is one of the cleanest covers for this particular release that you can ever expect to locate considering the amount of “white” used for both sides of the cover.
VINYL: VG+
Comments: “Thick” vinyl LP retains much of its original gloss with some insignificant faint hairlines and a few light needle trails (No feelable scratches) seen under bright light, mainly on side 2. The album has been play tested and plays nicely throughout the recording with the exception of a few soft pops, but there are absolutely No skips on either side of the album. Please don’t bid if you expect to receive a NrMT record, the First Pressing vinyl and original inner sleeve are just an added bonus to the primary reason for this listing, which is the cleanliness and condition of the album cover, still in the original mid 60s shrink wrap!
INNER SLEEVE: Original and correct “half-moon” shaped plastic baggie used by COLUMBIA during the late fifties to mid-sixties, and during the time of release of this LP.
Comments: “First” pressing copies of this Bob Dylan release are extremely difficult to locate with a super clean cover still in the original shrink wrap. LP features several classic early Bob Dylan songs including “All I Really Want To Do”, “Chimes Of Freedom”, “My Back Pages”,“I Don’t Believe You”, and of course one of his biggest hits ever “It Ain’t Me Babe”!!
I have listed many more pristine First and second pressing Bob Dylan albums from the “sixties” this week, so please check out my other auctions!
