Description
Here we have a mega rare 7'' blues single from Houston Boines entitled 'Superintendent Blues'.It was released in 1966 on the highly collectable Blue Horizon record label and the catalogue no.is 45 1006.The B side is 'Monkey Motion' and both sides feature Ike Turner on piano.
This was only the 7th single to be released on the then independent Blue Horizon label and only 99 copies were ever produced.This is because it was only made available to readers of an R&B magazine who had to purchase it directly from the magazine.Consequently these early Blue Horizon singles are extremely rare and much sought after by 1960s blues afficianados.
The record is in excellent condition,near mint,and both sides play very well.The sound on both sides is clear and sharp and there are no surface noises,jumps or skips on either side.
