BLUES BREAKERS by JOHN MAYALL with ERIC CLAPTON Original 1966 UK Mono 1st Pressing on the 1st press unboxed grooved Decca label. An incredibly rare record. This is one of the earliest first pressings with the laminated flip back sleeve printed in England by MacNeill Press. Catalogue number LK4804. Side 1 matrix: ARL-7297-1A Side 2 matrix: ARL-7298-1A
The record labels are in superb condition and demonstrate this record could only have been played a handful of times-there are only a few spindle marks marks and the label colours red and silver remain vibrant. The vinyl again is in tremendous condition, and retains it’s first press lustre. There is one extremely faint non-sounding small hairline on side 1 and side 2 visible only under strong light. Using the Record Collector grading system I would grade the record as excellent.
The sleeve is in excellent condition. All corners are intact with minor creases only and the text to the spine is clear and legible. The front of the MacNeill Press sleeve retains its laminate and looks nice and glossy with minor marks only. The rear of the sleeve remains mostly clean with only slight ring wear evident and a very small smudge at the lower end. Original inner sleeve included.
