This is a really good copy of what was quite a ground breaking record. Columbia Records saw an opportunity to follow the immense popularity of Blue Beat and Ska records coming in from Jamaica and started their own Blue Beat label. Using legendary producer Siggy Jackson, they signed recently arrived immigrants. Witchcraft Man is a fantastic Ska track, capturing that almost rough, live sound coupled with masses of energy.
Both sides are in really excellent condition and are all shiny and clean. There are a few very light marks where it’s been played but certainly no scratches. The audio is really strong and bright. A genuine EX.
Labels are also in remarkably good condition. Side A has a small tear on it and the record does not have it’s original centre. This is why I’ve graded it as VG overall, not EX.
This is a great copy which sounds fantastic.
