BLUE PHANTOM – DISTORTIONS
Original 1972 pressing on the Kaleidoscope label (Catalogue No. KAL 101) UK
A sought after album among psych and prog collectors,
Distortions was released in Italy in 1971, and was recorded by a group of unknown studio musicians and was composed
(under his nickname Tical) by Armando Sciascia.
An instrumental album that shows strong influences of late 60's psych sounds.
Many of the tracks from this album are used in the movie "Sinner: Diary of a Nymphomaniac"
Directed by Jess Franco and released in 1972.
Described on the back of the sleeve as:
"DISTORTIONS ON A THEME OF MUSIC AND LIFE. TO OUTLINE OUR SLEEVE THE ARTIST HAS TRACED HIS IDEAS ON THE EVOLUTION OF LIFE THROUGH THE ALL SEEING EYE. FROM LIFE BEFORE BIRTH? THROUGH CONCEPTION EVOLUTION CONSTRUCTION RESURRECTION AND DESTRUCTION: IN ALL A TOTAL EXPERIENCE. THE MUSIC AS THE TITLES INDICATE IS AN EVOLUTION OF THE AVENTE GARDE. HERE IS A FINE EXAMPLE OF MODERN COMPOSITION SENT INTO ORBIT BY BLUE PHANTOM. THE MUSIC IS INDICATIVE OF VARIOUS STATES OF THE HUMAN MIND, AND COULD WELL BE DESCRIBED AS AN AUDIO EXPERIENCE."
The sleeve is in very good+ condition and just one minor crease on the bottom right hand corner.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition.
