BLUE NOTE Ike Quebec 78 RPM Book Set RARE!

From the Blue Note SP album series (10 inch 78 rpms)

Exceptional Condition.  Quite rare in this condition.  ** Blue Note Records 3-78 RPM Book Set BN102  … Blue & White Label.  767 Lexington, NYC address.  Ike Quebec with a few all-star line-ups (see below) from the mid-1940’s!  Recorded at WOR Studios in NYC (pre-RVG days).

I’m more familiar with grading jazz lps … but I would call these VG ++ to Near Mint or very fine ... They look almost un-played.  NO significant marks, cracks or scratches … Labels look new. NO spindle wear at all.  Very cool and very CLEAN piece of jazz ( and early Blue Note – post war ) history.  Please see pictures below.

One unique note: On side B of 510-A only in raised letters on the label it reads A BISHOP PRESSING.

The Book or Set Cover has some browning from shelf wear … Great early Francis Wolff picture of Ike. Binding is still intact … has the start of fabric tearing on the cloth spine, but still very much intact. The pictures inside the front cover and the liner notes all look great … some browning, or fading, has taken place but does not distract from the page.  Looks awesome for a piece pushing 60 years old!  The heavy paper sleeves inside are in perfect condition.

Will be shipped in an over-sized box with foam peanuts and cardboard reinforcements.  Low reserve.
