Description
BLUE NOTE BLP4092 KENNY CLARKE-FRANCY BOLAND & CO. 'The Golden Eight'
An unusual Blue Note session in that it was recorded in Cologne, Germany in 1961, although it is still a Blue Note original issue. The musicians taking part were: DUSKO GOJKOVIC (tp); RAYMOND DROZ (alt-h); CHRIS KELLENS (bar-h); DEREK HUMBLE (as); KARL DREVO (ts); FRANCY BOLAND (p); JIMMY WOODE (b); and KENNY CLARKE (d). This has NEW YORK USA labels both sides. "RVG" stamps and an 'ear' appear in the run off both sides. Both labels also state "Blue Note Records Inc." and there is an R in a circle below the "E" of "NOTE" on both labels. The cover gives the address as 43 West 61st Sreet, New York 23.
