Description
Artist: HORACE PARLAN
Title: “MOVIN’ AND GROOVIN’”
Label: BLUE NOTE. Monaural deep-groove first pressing on medium thick vinyl. Label is blue/white, with blue text. Label address is “47 West 63rd * NYC” on both sides. Stamped RVG with ear symbol in runout on both sides. Catalog number is BLP 4028.
Year: 1960.
Personnel: Horace Parlan – piano; Sam Jones – bass; Al Harewood – drums.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for the collector who insists on mint condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, as clean as can be found. The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, perhaps played once. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity, no background. Labels are clean and pristine. An outstanding piece.
JACKET: Jacket is EXCELLENT with clean front and back panels. Seams and spine are excellent, except for small chip at bottom right corner. Laminate has a very small surface tear at right center edge, barely noticeable. Overall quite presentable - You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy of Parlan’s first Blue Note release as leader!
