PLEASE CONSIDER THAT IN THESE EBAY AUCTIONS I USE A STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING SYSTEM THAT CAN'T DISAPPOINT ANYONE BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ,FOR EXAMPLE,  A VG+ COVER OR A VG+ VINYL  IT'S EQUIVALENT TO "BAD CONDITIONS" BUT SIMPLY THAT MY GRADE IT'S STRICT AND PROBABLY EQUIVALENT TO AN EX OF SOMEONE ELSE WITH  NOT A SO STRICT GRADE. I HAVE SOLD IN THESE AUCTIONS EX- RECORDS THAT WERE SURELLY M- COPIES BUT I PREFERE TO BE STRICT TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTEMENT BECAUSE I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY REPUTATION.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.


graded VG/VG+ for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system

label: this is the very rare earlier rough label Pink Island "Orange Ball" label ILPS 9101 pressed in UK and it's in vry nice conditions without serious defects if not some more spindle marks around the center hole so VG+.
cover: the cover it's matt and gatefold. This cover structure it's very prone to the wear and this too it's not without wear. I can notice some more spine wear and the writings are close to completely erased to the whitening except part of name and of the catalogue number. Front and back are surely better but with an evident storage wear plus a tiny removing sticker tear on the right upper corner so I think a VG grade it's more than appropiate.
Vinyl: the vinyl look with some light but evident marks so the more appropiate grade it's VG+ but I can confirm that he play very very well with minimal crackling in the background of the quieter tracks but never too intrusive and in large part the sound it's very clean so this is a very nice playing copy for any serious collector that don't need a cosmetic perfection and a realistic playing for a super rare erlier press.
review: Nice original copy of Blodwyn Pig /Ahead Rings Out,  the first legendary album in his erlier british press with the "Orange Ball" in the right part of label that it's really hard to find for this lp, more commons are the Black Block and the Pink "I" labels. This is one of the most refined albums of this beautiful records label. If we intend as progressive,  the music that it's a mixture or music styles that can't be resumed so easily, this is the typical progressive album because the refined blues structure it's tinged with rock and the jazz in a really sublime way. Mick Abrahams ex Jethro Tull co-founder and superb guitarist, give here his best contribution to the music evolution and this is an album that any collector must have so... don't miss!
