Scarce 1968 UK Xtra/Transatlantic label 13-track vinyl LP originally released by the Bluesville label in 1961.
Vinyl has the white labels with large red mid-label logo - front laminated Dawson Rossiter Limited flipback picture cover.
Snooks Eaglin (January 21, 1936– February 18, 2009) was an American, New Orleans-based guitarist and singer. He was also referred to as Blind Snooks Eaglin in his early years.
Born Fird Eaglin, Jr., his vocal style was reminiscent of Ray Charles; in the 1950s, when he was in his late teens, he would sometimes bill himself as "Little Ray Charles".
As a solo artist, his recording and touring were inconsistent, and for a man with a career of about 50 years, his discography is rather slim. His first recording was in 1953, playing guitar at a recording session for James "Sugar Boy" Crawford.
The first recordings under his own name came when Harry Oster, a folklorist from Louisiana State University, found him playing in the streets of New Orleans. Oster made recordings of Eaglin between 1958 and 1960 during seven sessions which later became records on various labels including Folkways, Folklyric, and Prestige/Bluesville and I the UK on Transatlantic/Extra .
These recordings were in folk blues style, Eaglin with an acoustic guitar without a band.
Generally regarded as a legend of New Orleans music, he played a wide range of music within the same concert, album, or even song: blues, rock and roll, jazz, country, and Latin. In his early years, he also played some straight-ahead acoustic blues.
His ability to play a wide range of songs and make them his own earned him the nickname "the human jukebox." Eaglin claimed in interviews that his musical repertoire included some 2,500 songs.
At live shows, he did not usually prepare set lists, and was unpredictable, even to his bandmates. He played songs that came to his head, and he also took requests from the audience.

The grading standard used is the UK Record Collector magazine gradings as described below
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
All items are securely packaged in purpose made mailers, with at least 2 cardboard stiffners, clearly marked fragile, with the record removed from the outer sleeve (to avoid sleeve splits whilst in transit) in a brand new polythene sleeve.

I always remove the record from the outer sleeve (to avoid seam split whilst in transit) and then insert the record and sleeve into a brand new polythene sleeve. I always aim to dispatch the package either on the day of purchase or the next day, and update the status Ebay either on the day of dispatch or the following day, so that you are fully aware of the progress of dispatched items. Return Policy Returns are accepted in the unlikely event that the item purchased does not match the grading given and it is returned in the condition sent and in packaging comparable to that which it was originally sent in. I respectfully request that before returning, you please contact me and advise me of the situation If there is not a fault but another reason you wish to return it, please contact me and I will do my utmost to resolve the situation, but be advised that I will not reimburse the return postage costs if the item is being returned for any reason other than being faulty or “not as described” unless it has been agreed prior to being returned.
