Description

This auction is for an original Paramount recording of Blind Blake's Early Morning Blues (12387-A) and West Coast Blues (12387-B). From what I gathered from my somewhat limited research, I believe this was the first record Blind Blake made. I am not an expert on records (not even close!), but I know how important condition is to collectors. I will do my best to describe each side in detail, and encourage you to email me with any questions or concerns. First, there is no warpage, cracks, stains, or chips. There is shine on the surface of both sides. There are a few spots of dust (not wear or dullness)(I have not attempted to clean or alter the record in any way). On the "Early Morning" side: there are a couple of very faint/light scratches and a half a circle worn into the label (probably from where it sat on a record player). On the "West Coast" side: there is a small spot (a scratch) at the very beginning of the grooves (probably from the needle- when once dropped) and there is a full circle worn into the label. I have shown all I have just mentioned in the photographs that accompany this listing. Please check them out, and again do not hesitate to ask me any questions.
