Blackfoot
'No Reservations'
Antiles, USA, 1975
AN 7076
Rare and very obscure debut album from this fine Southern rock band who later went on to score great success on the Atco label. Fronted by Ricky Medlocke this album showcases a fledgling unit still coming to grips with a style and purpose although the arrangements are unmistakably south of the Mason Dixie Line. Includes 'Railroad Man', 'Indian World', 'Take A Train' and the seven minute southern rock burn-out 'I Stand Alone' complete with a blistering guitar duel ala Skynyrd's 'Freebird'.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.
