1st UK pressing (1971)
A rare collectible indeed ... a first UK pressing with A1 / B1 stampers.
Superb copy of this critically acclaimed progressive rock gem, with NM wax that plays "like new" and a nice, clean EX jacket. (More details below.)
Bandmates Geoff Griffith and Clive Jones founded the band in Leicester, England in late 1969. Their early releases and performances featured satanic and occult imagery, drawing parallels with Black Sabbath.
To verify this as an authentic first UK pressing, note these characteristic features:
1) Orange CBS labels with "MADE IN ENGLAND" citing at label bottoms
2) Track times are NOT cited on either the jacket back or the labels.
3) Matrix numbers etched in the dead wax read:
Side 1 : S 64562 A1
Side 2 : S 64562 B1
Vinyl: Near Mint
Plays "like new".
Exceptionally high gloss remains.
Wax is flawed only by a few superficial, very light paper scuffs / hairlines which have no discernible impact on the listening experience.
Labels are clean and bright, look "like new".
Includes original solid black paper inner sleeve.

Jacket front and back color art work & text are rich and sharp, overall clean and bright.
Nice gloss remains.
Only traces of ring/rub wear present. A few small shallow creases in upper right corner.
Solid seams and spine, with only minor rub wear. No splits.
Spine print is clearly legible.

Here find a superb copy of the RARE first UK pressing of the "Black Widow III" LP. You will be very "hard pressed" to find another (unsealed) copy of this progressive rock gem in similar but less finer condition. Hoping this unique collectible goes to a good home.
