I bought this as part of a collection from an old friend of mine. He purchased the albums from new and has always carefully stored and cared for his records.

On the sought after Vertigo Swirl label, this early press delivers strong and powerful analogue sound with only minor evidence of its vintage. The disc has no obvious visible flaws or defects (no scratched or scuffs) and retains a new like sheen. The sound is a very strong excellent - full of power and analogue detail. The gatefold sleeve is almost flawless. Copies THIS good rarely come up for sale - a real gem!

This very well preserved matt sleeve has no splits, tears or other significant flaws. The pre-decimal price sticker is still in place to attest to its vintage. The spine has lightened slightly due to light exposure.

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.

 Note: When I first listen to the album there were a number of distractions, so I have listened again at the first opportunity. There is one audible click and about four very minor"ticks" near the beginning of side one - they are mostly buried in the music, so I didn't notice them. In addition there are two "clicks" near the beginning of side two. I have examined the vinyl under a magnifying glass and can't see any cause - I suspect they may clear with a professional clean.
