Here for auction is an exceptional example of the self-titled debut studio album by BLACK SABBATH, Catalogue Number VO 6. This is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK STEREO 1st ISSUE on the VERTIGO SWIRL RECORD LABEL, with a superb Keef designed matt-finish gatefold sleeve. Complete with the correct Vertigo swirl poly-lined inner sleeve. [The Side B record label has the large Vertigo Swirl logo. The matrix numbers are the earliest 1Y*1 and 2Y*1].
The sleeve is in a strong EX condition with only the lightest signs of wear. There is a small number written on the back cover.
The vinyl is visually in EX condition. The Vertigo swirl labels are unmarked with only a few short spindle traces near the centres. It is clear that the record has only received a moderate number of careful plays. Both sides play MINT- throughout with no discernable deterioration in sound quality and barely any unwanted noise at all. It really does play essentially as new.
The Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve is also in EX condition.

LPs are posted in purpose-made mailers with plenty of stiffening. Records are packed outside of the outer sleeve in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.

The tiny nicks visible at the 10 o' clock position on the edge of the Side B label were present when the LP was bought new - it was manufactured this way.
