Black Sabbath Paranoid LP German Spiral Vertigo 6360 011(6360 011 D on rear sleeve ) from 1970.

This is undoubtedly one of the classic heavy rock LPs of all times. For sure Sabbath's finest hour and arguably one of the all time iconic LPs in the history of heavy (prog.) rock with Led Zep 4 and Deep Purple In Rock.
The pressing here is a very rare variant and as far as I know unique. This is the German original very 1st issue, earliest pressing, on the large Spiral Vertigo label but also with the 'A Philips Record Product' text which I think is unique to this pressing worldwide. Hence a very unique pressing worldwide but this pressing normally comes with a laminated gatefold sleeve. However this one has the ordinary matt type gatefold sleeve but with all the original text/writing unique to the 1st Laminated sleeve! Possibly a 'cross-over'sleeve as I have never come across this variant!
Apart from having this very rare worldwide variant of this classic LP it is also in very decent condition overall.
Looking at the vinyl head on it has a nice clear clean sheen to it. Only closer inspection at an angle and in stronger light there are a few underlying marks,of which most visible is a fairly long curved hairline and some scuff type marks.
However the LP plays with a lovely clean sound-noticeable that in the grooves between tracks it is very quiet and clear. Also barely any spindle play on the nice clean labels. Hence I was surprised to find on Side A/Track 3 there is around 1 minute of 'clicky'play! That apart its a very nice play.
So good clean labels-ordinary inner bag fine (as far as I know this pressing did not come in a S Vertigo Inner bag)- the original unlaminated gatefold sleeve has no writing,tears etc. There is some general edge/spine wear and some ring wear on the back but in the main its minor stuff and fine. The front looks good and the inner gatefold is all good.
Overall a very reasonable clean 1st copy with Spiral Vertigo label but also the unique combination of this rare earliest pressing with Philips text and an unlaminated gatefold sleeve!
