rare pre-Vertigo original 1st LP
this is the very first and extremely short-lived Australian original blue and silver label Fontana pressing with a single (non-gatefold) laminated cover - only a tiny number of these beyond rare originals were ever released, having been quickly replaced by the Fontana gatefold version (itself rare and only briefly in production) - and followed very soon afterwards by the conventional spiral Vertigo gatefold issue - this copy is superb and a must-have for the serious Black Sabbath / Ozzy Osbourne collector - the record is near mint with stunning as-new gloss - both labels clean, bright and sharp (see photos) - the dazzling glossy (front) cover is virtually immaculate and the matt rear sleeve, yet again, almost totally perfect! - great flat spine with clear, sharp titles too! - unique original debut LP - impossibly rare, especially in this condition - this item represents an important and historic artefact by the best heavy rock band of all time - BLACK SABBATH
