... Here's a rarity, the original British issue of Black Sabbath's first single release ... Issued on the Fontana label 'EVIL WOMAN c/w WICKED WORLD did not sell at all on this first release and it wasn't until 6 months later when after extensive giggin', a change of label and the release of their first album that Black Sabbath started to pick up any sales at all but by then Evil Woman had been re-issued on the 'spiral' Vertigo label. This copy does have quite a bit of surface scuff's and a couple of light surface scratches but the label's are nice and clean and it plays and sounds GREAT! Incidently the record has NOT lost it's middle, it WAS issued new with a large centre hole. ......... P.S. I could be wrong but just off the top of my head I think the 'B' side is unique to this first single and not easily available else where and it's a great classic up-tempo guitar tour-de-force! ..................
