BLACK SABBATH, CROSS PURPOSES RARE UK FIRST ISSUE ALBUM .I.R.S LABEL
The vinyl is glossy and there is no spindle wear etc. I would say that the album is virtually unplayed were it not for some surface marks one one side that I can see when holding the album at a certain angle. I suspect these were caused by the edge of the card inner sleeve. As you can see, the sleeve is in excellent condition and the inner sleeve is near mint. Some of the pictures show light reflections of me taking the photographs, which I could not avoid due to the reflective nature of the black sleeve. I have test played the album and can confirm that there are no skips or sticking. Sound is very crisp.
The run-out matrix ends A-1-1-1, and B 1-1-1, indicating that this is the first pressing.
I have seen copies of this album in this condition sell for over £500, but I am starting the bidding at a sensible level.
This is an nice example of a very rare first pressing.
