THE LABEL OF THE VINYL ON SIDE (B) OF A SECOND PRESSING OR LATER HAS NOTHING WRITTEN UNDER THE WORD “VERTIGO”, WHICH IS UNDER THE BLACK SABBATH NAME.

THE LABEL OF THE VINYL ON SIDE (B) OF A FIRST PRESSING HAS A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT UNDER THE WORD “VERTIGO”, WHICH IS UNDER THE BLACK SABBATH NAME.

Also, the runout groove (at the end of vinyl before touching the label) has the following matrix numbers "etched"into the vinyl on SIDE-A and SIDE-B.

SIDE-B........VO  6  2Y   1   420 12 2

Any other variation other than this, is not a first pressing especially the last digit of the entire matrix. A second of later pressing will an extra digit after the last number 1 on SIDE-A and an extra digit after the last number 2 of SIDE-B.

I've been collecting for over 30 years and wished I had someone point this out to me years ago, so here it is. A GENUINE FIRST PRESS!!!!!!

This comes with it's original swirl inner sleeve with intact clear cellophane on both sides, which is in awesome condition.

The VINYL is rated at EX or better and the JACKET is rated at EX.
