BLACK MIKE´S WATERLOO Lapini / Doorman 7" GREAT ULTRA RARE Finnish-Greek HEAVY PSYCH / PROG wah-wah 1972 SONET
"BLACK MIKE" is Nicolas Mavromichalis from Greece. Greek origin musician & DJ, who used to work in Finland.
"WATERLOO" is the very same Finnish Heavy Progressive group, which you can find also on "Popmestarit" compilation LP (of ELONKORJUU track "Where´s The Rising Sun" fame) from 1971. Lead by guitarist Nunu "Freeman" Friman. Unfortunately the group did not make other recordings.
Congas are here played by Francis Looby.
"Lapini" is really a heavy psych "killer" with very strong wah-wah guitar (the end is almost spacerock). "Doorman" has also some 60´s feel (Animals/Yardbirds), great, too (but not so furious)! Both tracks are sung in English. Needless to say, the single is more than impossible to be found!
