This auction is for an extremely rare STILL SEALED copy of the Bending The Rules EP by BLACK DIAMOND, rockin' Michigan based 80s hair metal! The first song on Side One starts out with a rather strange voice loop sound first off. Actually there are tons of weird echoing vocal effects throughout this whole record, lots of reverb on most all of the vocals and drums, even parts written around the echoed out trailings of the vocals. There's a definite home made sound to everything, but at the same time it is rather well done in an over the top 80's sort of way. Every song has a sex or love theme to it, the perfect polarization on the typical hair metal lyrics. The guitars are soaring, wailing, whining and grinding...the drums are echoey...the vocals are wonderfully cheesey and seductive...even has some metal-ballad style synth in the final track on side 2!!! A fine slice of ULTRA RARE sleazy hair metal sounding like a cross between early Motley Crue, later New York Dolls and a hellbent coked-up reverb machine. I have set the opening bid on this amazingly rare private press gem, still sealed and MINT at a very reasonable 47 dollars with no reserve. I very recently sold my only other opened and signed copy here with plans to keep this sealed copy for myself, but I have decided to share it instead; this is my only other copy and quite possibly the only sealed copy anywhere in existance, a MEGA RARE release!!!
