Description
BJORK: POST. 1995. One Little Indian, TPLP51. This Album arrived on the UK Chart at the end of June, 1995, and peaked at Number 2, which was her highest-placed Album (have Guinness Hit Singles & Albums Book as reference for all this). The Matrix Numbers just appear to be the Catalogud Number with A or B, so not really helpful. The record mostly plays well (I "cleaned" it only with a record cloth before playing, as always), with no jumps. At the end of The Modern Things, I had to jump up off ma chair to see why it was sticking, but that was just a little "Bjorkism"! There are 4 tracks which have "issues":
Hyper-Ballad is crackly at the start.
It's Oh So Quiet has a few ticks.
Possibly Maybe has a few crackly ticks at the end, and so does Headphones.
I am quite disappointed bt all that, and have dropped Grading to Fair as a result. Was actually going to throw it out but have seen a lot of Albums on walls in places, and being Pink Vinyl, this would be an interesting focal point.
I'm calling both Sleeve & Inner Sleeve Good. There are some obvious marks on it - not as perfect as I would like.
This Album surprisingly has SIX UK hit singles: Army Of Me (number 10), Isobel (23), It's Oh So Quiet (4), Hyper-ballad (8), Possibly Naybe (13) and I Miss You (36).
Having recently put all my Records in order, I've started to play through them for the first time in probably over 30 years - very enjoyable so far - but with space having to be freed up now (I have this Album in a different format now), this is the 43rd of 366 Artist L.P.'s which I bought (am keeping 24 of them so far, with a further 40 Comedy or Compilation L.P.'s.
