Description

A rare 20" live jazz album by the Billy Taylor Trio, made more special and collectable by the presence of Charles Mingus on bass, early in his career. Described here as "unquestionably one of the greatest discoveries of the last few years" (see photo 9). The albums material was recorded in 1952, this would make him 30 at the time.
Also has Marquis Foster on drums.
It is a fairly well played copy but the music shines through. It never skips or sticks but there is background noise and some pops.
The inner sleeve is a bit torn and the cover, whilst complete, has some signs of wear and is split half way along the base (which has been repaired). Well worth owning.
