Description
Here's something I've never seen before--a 5 LP box set sent to recording artists and producers in 1979 by Billy Joel's music publishers, April-Blackwood Music, in an attempt to get other artists to perform his songs. The box contains white label promo copies of Billy's albums PIANO MAN, TURNSTILES, THE STRANGER, STREETLIFE SERENADE, and 52ND STREET. Also included is a cover letter from "Your Friends at April-Blackwood" explaining the purpose of the box, and a 48 page printed book of the accompanying lyrics. The box has a couple of edge tears, but is in excellent condition. The letter and book are near mint, and the discs are near mint to mint. RARE !
