Condition: Vinyl: VG+ Almost unplayed, sounds beautiful! Label: Almost Perfect!!!

Here's a true obscurity, but what a find-- Billy Joe Burnette on Gold Standard. The wonderful "Let Me Try", a midtempo blue-eyed soul affair, has already become a rabidly sought after rarity (that's Gold Standard #220). On this release, #210, we have an amazing blue-eyed soul/funk track. "Casting My Spell" features a stormin' bassline as Burnette revs up like James Brown at full-tilt in his 60's period. The B-Side has a more laidback soul approach to it, vocally in the vicinity of "Let Me Try".

When I contacted John Manship, they had never seen a copy before so this really must be pretty hard to come by... This track has never been compiled on CD or vinyl elswhere. There aren't any other copies for sale anywhere on the Internet, so don't pass up your chance to snag what may be the only copy available out there!
