WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and hard-to-find original MONO London “ffrr” Records very first press released in Chile late 1962 or early 1963 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., USA, catalog number DLM 17108, with machine etched matrix numbers DR 29077 1S (“1S” inverted) in Side A and DR 29099 1S (“1S” inverted) in Side B, with green/silver London “ffrr” Records labels!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for all lovers, fans and collectors of Billy Fury and early days of rock’n’roll in the UK!!!

The first to tell about this single is that it’s impossible to know when it was released here in Chile but it’s a fact it was late 1962 or early 1963 and if you know this single you could have already noticed a “little” difference, in Chile the sides are inverted!!! In original UK issue the Side A is “Last Night Was Made For Love” and so far I know this single was never released in USA. The only issue I know with “A King For Today” as Side A was released in Germany, with Decca labels, but it’s clear this Chilean issue is licensed from US London Records!!! In labels the song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and the orchestra conducted by Ivor Raymonde. This is other curiosity because the credits for Ivor Raymonde in all issues of this single is for “Music Director”. In Side A it’s printed the price of this single “E°1,50”. So, here you have the chance to own the single “Last Night Was Made For Love” with inverted sides and UNIQUE LONDON RECORDS LABELS!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice VG- or VG condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, hairlines and very light scratches of all sizes and directions, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great VG- or VG condition, clean and clear, with moderate wear and a little mark someone wrote in Side A. The sound is really a nice surprise, it’s in great EX or even EX+ condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with soft crackles and some occasional pops here and there, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side B, loud and clear, with a very light background noise and soft constant crackles, which don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this record is not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure it’s still in a great condition, with still an amazing sound quality after about 55 years which shouldn’t disappoint anyone, sure the sounds is much better that how it looks!!! And don’t forget the inverted sides and that this Chilean issue is an UNIQUE RELEASE with LONDON RECORDS LABELS!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
