BILLY CHILDISH &
THE MUSICANS OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE
SNACK CRACK
SUPER-RARE 4-TRACK 10"
AQUARIUM GALLERY, 2007
LIMITED TO 100 COPIES, SIGNED & NUMBERED
**************************************************
This beautiful disc was originally released in 2007 by the Aquarium Gallery in London, which represented Billy Childish at the time, and produced a number of very limited edition records in collaboration with him.
This example is a 4-track 10" featuring the tracks 'Snack Crack', 'There Goes My Date With Doug', 'Dandylion Clock', and 'Bottomless Pit' by The Musicians Of The British Empire. The disc is housed in a stiff white sleeve, decorated with a woodcut by Childish and hand-stamped titles. The record labels are plain white, and one of them is stamped with Childish's characteristic 'Hangman' print. The inner sleeve also features hand-printed titles. The record was limited to just 100 copies, each of which was signed on the front, just below the woodcut, and individually numbered on the back (this example being #53).
Both disc and outer sleeve are in Near Mint condition. I purchased the record directly from The Aquarium at the time of its release, and it has been carefully stored in my collection ever since, played only once.
I pride myself on packaging anything I sell as well as possible, and will do my utmost to ensure that this item reaches the winning bidder in exactly the condition described above. I always remove records from their sleeves to avoid seam-splits, make sure they're fully waterproofed, and give special attention to protecting the vulnerable corners.
I'm listing a number of other rare Billy Childish items, and will happily combine shipping costs for multiple buyers. Feel free to contact me for details.
Please note that I can only accept payment via PayPal, which should be sent within Three Days of the auction's close. I will mail the package within 24 hours of receiving payment.
Important Note: I live in France, and will be sending the item from here. UK bidders should therefore be aware that shipping will take an extra day or two.
Postal Insurance is an option, and strongly advised. If required, the winning bidder should contact me prior to sending payment, so that I can obtain a quote from the Post Office. Rest assured that the cost to the buyer will be exactly what the Post Office charges me, and not a penny more. If insurance is required, I will supply the buyer with a Tracking Number as soon as the package has been mailed. (It should also be noted that a Registered/ Insured package will need to be signed for upon receipt).
The starting bid is low, and there is No Reserve on this item!
