Description

Billie Holiday at her finest. Music for Torching from 1957 in excellent condition. Verve MGV8026 Mono 1st pressing with trumpeter label. This is an amazing record. The music is sublime. Benny Carter on sax, Harry "Sweets" Edison trumpet, Jimmy Rowles piano and guitar, are all in fine form with bass by John Simmons and drums by Larry Bunker. I play tested the entire record on headphones and found that even though there are visible marks on the vinyl, there is precious little surface noise. A Fine Romance has some surface noise, but even that is minimal and unobtrusive. The sound is almost near mint, but I rated it EX because of the visible marks. Jacket is VG with taped seams and some scuffing but almost no ring wear.
