DESCRIPTION
Billie Holiday - “The Golden Years” Columbia Records C3L 21 (Mono) from 1962. Classic Three Album Box Set from Billie Holiday on the Red Two Eye Columbia label! A compilation of recordings from the early 1930’s through the early 1940’s featuring All-Star players including Lester Young, Roy Eldridge, Benny Goodman, Ben Webster, Teddy Wilson, John Kirby, Cozy Cole, Chu Berry, Dave Barbour, Bunny Bergen, Art Shaw, Joe Bushkin, Buck Clayton, Freddie Green, Jo Jones, Johnny Hodges, Harry Carney and more! I believe that this is a slightly later pressing (perhaps 1967) on the Red Columbia 2-Eye Mono label with no “360 Sound” or Arrows. Hinged Box. Includes 10 Page Booklet on heavy Tan Textured Paper with Photos, Credits, Dates, etc. A great package with just about all of her Classic works!
CONDITION
The Hinged opening Box is in nice shape with some basic shelf wear but no split or broken corners. There are a bunch of notations on the back with the song titles. There is an old price sticker - should be easily removable - in the upper right corner. Still very solid with no splits, stains, tears, other writing, etc. and I would rate it as VG+. All of the actual Vinyl is in Glossy, pristine condition looking like it is close to new. If you really look closely you might be able to find a light sleeve scuff or two but, judging by the lack of any visible spindle trails on the labels, I doubt they were played more than a couple times if that. Should easily rate Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint. The Booklet looks close to untouched with no flaws and is easily Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
