This record was graded by a knowledgable collector (& owner of UHF - the best record store in Detroit!) The grading scale is as follows:
10 = MINT = Perfect record; clean gloss; no marks
9 = NM = Very clean record; only a few light superficial marks; like new
8 = VG++ = Extremely nice record; great gloss; would be near mint except for a few light/hairline scratches or scuffs that do not affect play
7 = VG+ = Nice but used record that may have a series of light scratches or scuffs; may play with a few pops but no serious problems
6 = VG = Good amount of light scratches on record; plays okay but may have moderate surface noise or pops
5 = VG- = Rough/worn record that plays through with noise but no skipping
4 = G = Record plays very rough; has multiple scratches; collection filler
3 - 2 - 1 = Bad/worse/garbage
