Description
Bill Le Sage Quintet plus Twice Times Keyboard 1966 World Record Club vinyl LP ST478 Stereo. A very rare, and quite marvellous jazz album in which the cream of 1960s British jazz musicians re-interpret some well-known classical melodies in a totally original and authentic jazz mode. Featuring: Bill Le Sage (piano, vibes, marimba), Ronnie Ross (alto & baritone saxes, clarinet & bass clarinet), Spike Heatley (bass), Ray Dempsey (guitar), Tony Carr (drums), plus, on some tracks, the Freddy Alexander Cello Ensemble. The album was recorded at EMI Studios, London in October 1965, arranged and directed by Bill Le Sage and produced by Cyril Ornadel.
