Description
BILL HALEY & HIS COMETS - "ROCK THE JOINT" - London HA-F2037.
Scarce original 1st pressing from the UK. These are the cuts recorded on the Essex & related Transworld label before signing with Decca and their smash success, beginning with "Rock Around The Clock". Some of the 45s were recorded under the name Bill Haley & the Saddlemen, before changing the name to the Comets. Great rockabilly, and considered to the the first Rock & Roll recordings, (some predate Elvis' Sun recordings). Includes "ROCK THE JOINT", "CRAZY, MAN, CRAZY"; "REAL ROCK DRIVE", etc. titles).
NOTE - the 1st 2 photos with this listing each show a different portion of the front cover. (Done on a scanner, so no room for the entire cover at one time!).
The cuts are: "Rock The Joint"; "Live It Up"; "Crazy, Man, Crazy"; "Fractured"; "Whatcha Gonna Do"; "Green Tree Boogie"; "Rocking Chair On The Moon"; "Dance With A Dolly"; "Juke-Box Cannon-Ball"; "Icy Heart"; "Sundown Boogie"; "Stop Beatin' Around The Mulberry Bush"; "Pat-A-Cake" & "Farewell, So Long, Goodbye".
