BILL HALEY AND THE COMETS – “ROCK WITH BILL HALEY AND THE COMETS” (TWLP-202), A VG++ (EXC) FIRST PRESSING OF THIS HISTORIC, EARLY ROCK N' ROLL ALBUM FROM 1956!
RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with very clean, glossy surfaces! There are just a small number of extremely light sleeve scuffs that should not have any effect on the audible performance. This original 1956 album is very rarely encountered, especially in this grade. The Yellow “Trans-World” labels are very clean and original, showing just some light spindle marks.
COVER: NM- with no seam splits, tape, writing, stickers or staple holes! This is an absolutely stunning, original cover! There is virtually no ring wear on the front, but the back side does show some very minor ring wear as well as light foxing from age. The two corner tips at the open end show a little wear. A tiny split is seen at the upper right corner as well as a minor bend at the tip. My 10-year-old copy of “Goldmine Record Album Price Guide” (Popoff) shows a NM value of $300 on this rare album. All I can say is, if you can find a nicer one, BUY IT! A plain white inner sleeve is included.
