BILL HALEY & HIS COMETS  -  ‘Live It Up!’      10” LP     UK     1955/6    London H-APB 1042

Early issue of Bill Haley’s debut UK 10” LP.

Maroon/Burgundy London label with silver lettering.

Fully laminated (front & back) flipback sleeve.

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

Playing condition ranges between GOOD and VG.     Plays with some audible surface noise/crackle in places - nothing that in anyway smothers the original sound recording, but noticeable all the same.   Some background pops in places - again nothing that dominates the original sound recording.   Slight touch of light background distortion on a couple of tracks, but this is low in the mix.        Overall; NO loud distortion.    NO jumps.    NO sticking.  

Visually the vinyl is VG-.      Noticeable surface-only marks/scuffs – none that feel to the touch.   

Labels are EX+.    No obvious spindle marks.   Very light wear around the centre holes.    All text perfectly readable.   NO writing.   NO tears.    NO stickers.

Sleeve is in FAIR condition.     Sleeve has a couple of tears on the front and a small section is missing (SEE PHOTOS).   Small seam split along the bottom edge.   Still holds record securely.    Remaining edges still nice and neat.  Virtually no creasing.     Laminate still relatively nice and clean.  Faint record shop stamp on the back.     If the back was supposed to be brilliant white when new, it’s yellowed over time     NO stickers.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
