Description
Here on offer a most presentable copy of the first album by the genius Bill Fay, issued by Deram Nova in 1970 in the UK. This is a mono copy, scarcer than the stereo as by 1970 mono albums were being (and in some cases had already been) phased out by the record companies - even the last two Beatles LPs were only issued in stereo in the UK.
The sleeve is nice - there are definite signs of use and storage, but the corners have only very moderate foxing and are still nice and square. Hardly any ringwear front and back - as you can hopefully see from the scans there is a noticeable crease from the top front cover near the Deram logo downwards, otherwise there are a few other laminate creases but certainly nothing that hurts! Back has browning along the top and bottom and 4 very small brown spots, the latter are very minmal issues to be honest.
Vinyl is a lightly used and glossy EX , there is one noticeable but light surface scratch across side 2 track 3 and partly onto 4, but its inaudible. Aside from other light usage hairlines it is indeed a clean EX copy. Plays nice!
Labels are clean and free from writing and stickers, and there are some slight spindle marks on side 2. The disc is housed in the proper vintage red mono inner sleeve.
Certainly not as hard to get hold of as Bill's second classic album but a rare beast nonetheless - and if you are unfamiliar with Bill's live performances from the 'Disco 2' TV programme in 1971 they can be heard in excellent quality on 'Shapes And Sounds Volume Three' on the Top Sounds label.
Nothing else to say really - money back guarantee obviously if unsatisfied, but my feedback was based mostly on vinyl.....
Any questions please ask.
