BILL EVANS TRIO - SUNDAY AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD (featuring Scott La Faro)
A truly impressive condition copy of this UK 1st press1961 jazz rarity, sparingly played with gleaming vinyl and great sounding MONO audio

1961 UK 1st press jazz rarity on cherished RIVERSIDE label : truly excellent (EX) condition gleaming, jet black sheen vinyl with earliest 1L/2L matrices, just a few extremely light, barely visible and totally superficial paper scuffs, only detectable with close scrutiny under a bright light - clearly this record has been sparingly played; near perfect (EX++) labels with just a couple of small & very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label; overall excellent (EX) condition front side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges (apart from a single 1cm scuff on the bottom edge next to the right side corner), well defined right angled corners with minimal rubbing on three of them - the aforementioned 1cm scuff does intrude upon that same corner, no laminate lifting, no creasing, and the only blemish of note being a surface scuff mark on the reverse side which has defaced a 2x2cm area of text (see photo); terrific audio with no clicks, interference or distortion, & any background crackle is barely noticeable, absolutely minimal and non-intrusive - simply put : great tone with wonderfully clear MONO audio quality throughout. Timeless laid back jazz from one of the true jazz piano masters.
A brilliant jazz album with Bill Evans (piano), Wynton Kelly (piano), Scott LaFaro (bass), and Paul Motian (drums) performing live and in great form.
These UK 1st pressings, made and sold by Fontana, are of superior quality to their US counterparts and are now becoming very hard to find, especially in condition as truly impressive as this. POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
