1959 ~ King  582 ~ Original First Issue ~ Hi-Fi (aka Mono)
Black Crownless Labels

 VINYL  VG+ : Very black and shiny with a few light surface marks.
Thick, heavy, inflexible vinyl.

COVER  VG : Top seam is split all the way across. 5-6" split on spine. Bottom seam is intact. Minor discoloration on back. Small stain near bottom on back. Flaking on top seam.
 Without seam splits, this cover would get a VG+ grade.

LABELS : Clean and sharp with several light spindle marks. Deep grooves.

BEAR'S NOTES : All 12 song titles contain the word "Blue" ("Blue Skies", "Blue Moon", etc). Side One offers 6 songs made for slow dancing. Side Two is much more uptempo & swingin'.
Mr. Doggett is a fine organist & several songs feature an excellent (unnamed) Sax man.

A SIMPLE VINYL GRADING SYSTEM :

Mint: Sealed/Unplayed/Unopened/The Holy Grail. Never used for an open LP.
Mint minus (M-): New and Possibly Unplayed ; a very rarely used grade at Bear's Wax.
Near Mint (NM): Like-new, with very little or no visible wear; very scarce & very collectible.
Near Mint minus (NM-): Almost like-new, slight signs of play or wear that are strictly cosmetic. Very nice.
Excellent (EX) aka Very Good plus-plus (VG++): A step above VG+, very clean, no serious flaws. Seldom spun. Nice.
Very Good plus (VG+): Above average LP; a few moderate surface marks or paper scuffs; minor surface noise. Not bad.
Very Good (VG) : An average used LP, with surface marks/light scratches. Possibly noisy but plays through, no skips. OK.
Very Good minus (VG-) : Reveals moderate wear & noise when viewed or spun but is not defective or warped. A bit rough.

A difference of opinion on a cover's "proper" or "correct" grade will usually not be grounds for a refund.
We try to describe every cover's pluses & minuses as best as we can, arrive at a fair grade & show a good picture.

Your item will be packaged with tender loving care. Records are securely placed in nice new inner sleeves & new poly sleeves & then carefully packed inside thick cardboard mailers along with stiff cardboard inserts & sheets of bubble wrap to help provide a safe delivery.

All records are professionally sight-graded. Play-grading upon request. Please keep in mind that used records from the '50s & '60s are very rarely found in actual Mint condition & very seldom in actual Near Mint. Proper record grading involves skill, knowledge & honesty but in the end it is a very subjective science. Sound quality is always in the ear of the listener.

Pictures shown in a bearswaxrecords listing are always of the actual items up for bid, not left over from some other auction. More photos always available on request.
